There are some genuinely bold 2022 summer style trends! Y2K is still back with a vengeance, and the unhinged fashion girlies are taking over with their unique styling. Fashion right now emphasizes personal style more than we have seen since the early 2000s prevalence of street style bloggers. And let me tell you- I AM HERE FOR IT! From print clashing to wearing the rainbow, fashion feels fresh and fun for the first time in years.
I’ve added a few pieces to my wardrobe to update my 2022 summer style and wanted to share how I am styling them. These are all the EXACT pieces I’ve purchased! I’ve worn each at least a dozen times and a dozen different ways.
My 2022 Summer Style Updates
1: Sock Candy Socks
Once a fashion faux pas, socks have had a major redemption arc and are now majorly in! Pair them with sandals, clogs, heels, whatever your shoe of choice is. I’m partial to pairing them with loafers or platforms at the moment. There are SO many fun ones available to go with all your 2022 summer-style looks. Bonus: no blisters from summer sandals!

I canNOT stop wearing these. I just want to throw a thin mesh top on underneath everything right now. It’s an addiction that doesn’t hurt anyone! I just love how it adds extra visual interest, pattern, and color to a look!

3: Jeffrey Campbell Line Dance
How stinkin’ cool are these fuschia pink patent leather mules? The bright pink against the gold snakeskin is gaudy in just the perfect way! I’m pairing them with everything from puff dresses to denim shorts- with and without socks accompanying them.

4: Dream Sister Jane Coral Puff Dress
This dress was in my cart for over a month before I finally purchased it, and I’m so glad that I did! First, the color is just as vivid and gorgeous in person. Second, do you see all those ruffly details?! It’s a truly swoon-worthy dress. How am I styling it? With everything else on this list of course! It’s the perfect dress to be the base of a maximalist look.

5: Mustard Monday Floral Ruffle Headband
I have definitely fallen in love with headbands over the past year- the bigger the better! They are such fun and easy accessories, and as a bonus, they hide any bad hair day you may be having. I have purchased several items from the Mustard Monday Etsy shop! I cannot recommend this British small business enough!!!! The quality of their pieces is incredible. (Pretty much all of the detachable collars I have are from them! I always purchase the extra-wide version.)
